Registration is open for the National Network of the Library of Medicine webinar “Using Technology to Combat Fake News: The Impact of Misinformation on Chronic Condition Self-Management Behaviors”. It will take place on Wednesday, May 24, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM CDT. Please see below for more information, including the link to registration.
In this presentation, the speakers will offer insight into making appropriate health information more accessible to patients, and therefore lessening the likelihood of misinformation related to the self-management of diabetes. The speakers will describe the implementation of interventions design to reinforce self-care practices and daily decision making among patients managing a chronic disease.
The presenters are Dr. Koren Goodman, an Equity in Action Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at Kean University, New Jersey; and Dr. Jewel Shepherd is the Associate Dean for Business Graduate Programs and an Associate Professor of Health Services Administration in the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota.
This course is worth 1.00 hour of CE credit at CHIS Level 1.
