Join us on Friday, June 9, from 1:00 to 3:30 PM CDT, for the OCLC Cataloging Community Meeting. This semi-annual, virtual event offers updates on current topics of interest. We’re putting together an engaging agenda, with short presentations by both cataloging community members and OCLC staff. We’ll discuss recent and upcoming initiatives to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in library metadata, including reparative work on geographic headings and the SACO Gender and Sexuality Funnel. The event will also include updates on OCLC metadata services and OCLC’s ongoing improvements to metadata quality.
Register here.
There will be ample opportunity for interaction with cataloging community speakers and OCLC staff. We encourage live attendees to ask questions and engage with the speakers. We look forward to hearing from you. If you can’t attend live, register now to get the full recording after the event.
