The REFORMA National Conference will hold an Institute in 2023 rather than an RNC. The REFORMA Institute will take place on Thursday, June 22, at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, before ALA Annual. There is also a virtual option.
The Institute is open to all. It is a full-day event that will feature Keynote Speaker Ozy Aloziem, an in-person workshop with Dr. Michele Villagrán, and a virtual workshop with Dr. Anne Phibbs. There are also sessions covering topics of inclusive awareness in the library workplace and guiding participants on the development of an EDI antiracism toolkit. The institute culminates with author Juana Bordas, who penned The Power of Latino Leadership.
Registration closes on Friday, June 16, for both the in-person and the virtual options. Please note that there is a 50-registrant limit for the in-person meeting and a 300-registrant limit for the virtual one. There is also an option to receive just the recordings of the morning sessions.
