Join the U.S. Census Bureau for “Census Bureau Data for Librarians” on Monday, May 3, at 1:00 PM CDT. Designed for the novice data user, the series will present a high-level overview of several data products and demonstrate how they can be used to assist libraries, schools and organizations identify data-driven solutions to challenges encountered.
This summit is a free virtual webinar that will teach users more about the demographics and economics characteristics of the patrons you serve. Featuring data from decennial censuses and various other census surveys, this training will take a deeper dive into demographic, social and economic tabulations and how you can access them using the Census Bureau’s enterprise-level data-access tools.
At the conclusion of this session, attendees will have accomplished the following.
- have an increased awareness of the vast data products available through the U.S. Census Bureau
- be better equipped to utilize some of the free on-line tools available on Census.gov
- have resources and toolkits to assist with navigating data available through Census.gov
