Registration is open for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy’s Public Forum on Improving the Digital Accessibility of Scientific and Technical Publications. It will take place on Thursday, October 24, at 2:00 PM CDT.
The U.S. government has a long-standing commitment to expanding the availability of the products and processes of federally funded research so that all people can engage in and benefit from the returns on research and development investments. This Public Forum will address the important goal of ensuring digital accessibility of scientific and technical (S&T) publications for people with disabilities. The event will bring together representatives from professional societies, scholarly publishers, standards organizations, vendors, federal public access repositories, and institutional repositories to discuss ongoing efforts to advance the digital accessibility of S&T publications and ideas for future action.
