Each year, ACRL members are privileged to be able to nominate our colleagues and other outstanding librarians and libraries for ACRL awards! This year, December 1, 2017 is the deadline for most award nominations.
Recognizing peers for their contributions to our profession is one of the highest honors and expression of appreciation that we can extend to our librarian colleagues and their institutions. Not only do these awards benefit the recipients and their institutions, they inspire all of us in the profession. When we celebrate our colleagues’ outstanding achievements, we all feel more pride in academic librarianship and what it means to those whom we serve.
Our colleagues on the awards committees are eagerly anticipating nominations and would like your input for potential candidates. Please take time to review the ACRL awards at http://www.ala.org/acrl/awards. Join your colleagues and act now, make a nomination or two in the next couple of weeks. It only takes a small amount of time to make an unimaginable impact on the life of a colleague that will last a lifetime.
Thank you in advance for your nominations. Don’t miss the Friday, December 1, deadline.
