The CARLI Commercial Products Committee is seeking proposals for a forum on accessibility efforts in your library. The form will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, April 6, at 10:00 AM CDT.
CARLI Members are encouraged to submit proposals on any accessibility practices you’ve implemented. Did something go well? Have best practices and tips for getting started? Any caveats to share about designing new workflows that incorporate accessibility? Is there something your library has done you wish other libraries were doing? We’re looking forward to hearing proposals on a variety of topics including, but not limited to: website and software accessibility, inclusion for patrons at virtual events, holding vendors accountable, and assistive technology.
Proposals should be 300 words in length and include an overview of what you would like to cover in a 15-20-minute session. If interested, please submit the proposal no later than Monday, February 14. Submissions will be reviewed by the CARLI Commercial Products Committee; notifications will be sent during the week of February 21.
Please send your submissions to this Google form. Any questions about the Accessibility in Libraries Forum should be submitted to support@carli.illinois.edu.
