The third annual Chicago Library Legislative Meet-up will take place on February 1, 2019. Don’t miss out on this chance to talk to your legislators! You can meet them in person and talk about issues affecting libraries and higher education, including education and MAP funding and library support. Members of the U.S. Congress, Illinois General Assembly, their staff, library trustees, directors, and staff from all types of libraries within the borders of the City of Chicago are encouraged to attend and participate, as well as others concerned about legislative effects on local libraries. These include your faculty and students.
Featured speakers will include Derek Blaida, Legislative Consultant, and Jeanne Long, Executive Director of the Chicago Collections Consortium. Each legislator will be introduced.
