The Innovative Library Classroom (TILC) is pleased to announce a grant to attend the 2019 conference, held at William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA on June 6th and June 7th. The grant will help someone from an underrepresented and/or marginalized group attend the conference by providing funding for registration and/or accommodations at a nearby hotel. Multiple applicants may be awarded the grant.
To be eligible to apply for the travel grant you must:
- be working in librarianship (professional or paraprofessional), pursuing a job in librarianship, or enrolled in an ALA accredited post-graduate program.
- Identify as a member of a racial or ethnic minority in the United States, the LGBTQ+ community, or as a person with a disability. Underrepresented and/or marginalized groups are identified in accordance with the ALA’s Office for Diversity, Literacy, and Outreach recruitment resources.<http://www.ala.org/advocacy/diversity/workforcedevelopment/recruitmentfordiversity>

Applicants will be notified of the decision of the grant committee before general registration for the conference opens on Monday, March 25th. Applicants who are not awarded a grant but would still like to attend the conference must participate in general registration on March 25th.
