The Innovative Library Classroom (TILC) is pleased to announce the William & Mary Libraries Travel Grant to attend the 2020 conference, held at William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA on June 4 and 5. The grant will help someone from an underrepresented and/or marginalized group attend the conference by providing funding for travel, registration, and accommodations at a nearby hotel. Multiple applicants may be awarded the grant.
Thanks to the generosity of William & Mary Libraries, we are able to increase funding to include transportation to this year’s conference, with a total reimbursement up to $1,000 per recipient.
To be eligible to apply for the travel grant you must:
- Be working in librarianship (professional or paraprofessional), pursuing a job in librarianship, or enrolled in an ALA accredited post-graduate program.
- Identify as a member of a racial or ethnic minority in the United States, the LGBTQ+ community, or as a person with a disability. Underrepresented and/or marginalized groups are identified in accordance with the ALA’s Office for Diversity, Literacy, and Outreach recruitment resources.
Applications will be accepted until Monday, February 24, 2020. For more details and to apply, go here.
Applicants will be notified of the decision of the grant committee before general registration for the conference opens on Monday, March 30. Applicants who are not awarded a grant but would still like to attend the conference must participate in general registration on March 30.
