The Medical Library Association’s (MLA’s) Collection Development and Hospital Library caucuses are excited to announce our next joint forum–an informal online presentation/discussion on how hospital mergers and acquisitions (M&A) impact library contracts! Join us online Wednesday, November 20, at 2:00 PM CDT, via this link. No registration is required.
The session will start with a brief presentation from Sarah McClung, Head of Collection Development at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She will provide an overview of the hospital M&A landscape as well as some of her own experiences so far at UCSF. Heather Martin, the Director of Providence Library Services, will share her experiences with managing library contracts for their hospital system’s M&As. Following their presentations, the floor will open for questions and discussion on the topic.
Non-MLA members are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion. The session will not be recorded to encourage open discussion.
