The Medical Library Association’s Collection Development and Hospital Library Caucuses invite you to join an informal discussion/forum on hospital library collection development. It will take place online Thursday, October 19, at 12:00 PM CDT. Join via this Zoom link.
This open discussion on hospital library collection development will be moderated by Kathryn Vela, Medical Librarian at St. Luke’s Health System. We hope it will serve as a space for hospital librarians to connect with and learn from one another on various collection development subjects.
Potential topics for discussion include:
- The role of a print collection in a hospital library
- How to effectively market your collection
- Consumer health collections
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own topics of interest to the discussion as well.
The session will not be recorded to encourage open dialogue. Any resources discussed during this session will be shared with the caucuses afterward.
