Don’t miss our upcoming STEM Librarians South Conference, scheduled online for July 28-29 (Thursday-Friday). Our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Chris Packham, will talk on “The Impending Astronomical Revolution”. He is a noted professor of Astrophysics at the University of Texas at San Antonio and holds a visiting professorship at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. As one of a select group of astronomers awarded time on the revolutionary James Web Space Telescope, he will discuss why the telescope is so revolutionary and how it is being used to unlock mysteries of the universe including in his area of black hole research.
Call for Proposals
Individuals and teams in academic and special library settings can submit proposals through Monday, May 16, covering content and services in STEM librarianship. Applicants should designate their presentation format as a 7-minute lightning talk or a 25-minute session. to submit a proposal, please go here.
