We are excited to see everyone in person at the 2024 Midwest Data Librarian Symposium (MDLS) at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS, from Monday, October 14, to Wednesday October 16. The Midwest Data Librarian Symposium is intended to provide librarians who support research data management and research data services the chance to network and expand their research data-related knowledge base and skill sets. MDLS 2024 is open to all who wish to attend, including those from the Midwest and beyond, as well as librarians in training.
The in-person format will include networking and unconference-type hands-on sessions as well as lightning talks, longer presentations, and workshops. Attendance will be capped at 50 in-person spots. For those unable to join us in Lawrence, presentation slides will be made available on OSF for future viewing.
Stay tuned for more announcements. Check out the MDLS webpage or join the MDLS listserv for updates as they become available. Please direct any questions to the 2024 MDLS Planning Committee, at mwdatalibsym@gmail.com.
