HSLI 2010 Annual Conference – Building Partnerships: Pathways to Library Opportunities. Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Wyndham Lisle-Chicago Hotel & Executive Meeting Center. Lisle, IL.
Our keynote speaker, Amy Vega, is a Health Care Educator at the Southern Regional Health Education Center in Fayetteville, NC, who has put lots of different theories into practice to reach students. Amy is an author of Nursing Novellas. Her first novella, called Lions and Tigers and Nurses, deals with lateral violence. Her second novella, called Broken Heart, is about coping with change and loss. These books are approved for CE credits for nurses.
Amy is a well known storyteller. Her title for our keynote is “Using the power of story to build and strengthen partnerships” on Friday, Oct. 22. She will be available at Nancy’s Reception to sign your copy of Lions and Tigers and Nurses.
I am definitely excited about having Amy. Her book has been very, very popular at my small hospital library. In fact, I had to buy three copies, and they are still out with a waiting list!! I am looking forward to you meeting and hearing Amy at the HSLI Conference.
