Health Science Librarians of Illinois member Eleanor Truex, AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Library, is a 2021 recipient of the Medical Library Association’s Research, Development, and Demonstration Project Grant. According to MLA’s website, the purpose of the grant is “to provide support for research, development, or demonstration projects that will help to promote excellence in the field of health sciences librarianship and information sciences”. More information on criteria to receive the grant is available here.

Truex is one of nine members of MLA’s Hospital Library Caucus to receive an MLA award this year, and the only one from Illinois. One other member of the Caucus received the Research, Development, and Demonstration Project Grant.

Congratulations!
